Don't leave your kid in the car!

OK so I am sitting here watching the news, and there was ANOTHER story of a child (2 years old) dying in a car because some jackass left him in there.
PEOPLE. It is TOO GODDAMNED HOT TO LEAVE KIDS IN CARS. What in the hell? How many of these do we have to hear about before people clue in to the fact that YOU CANT FREAKING DO THAT!?!!

Let me share a little story with you. Way back before I had kids, I was a veterinary nurse. Certified, ok? Give me some credit. So anyway, we were sitting out back one day after lunch when a woman came tearing up to us in her car. Turns out she had turned the clothes dryer on, not knowing her cat was in there. Well, the cat got cooked. I can tell you by looking at this poor creature that it died in a horrible way.

So the moral of this story is that being cooked/overheated/LEFT IN A CAR is a horrible horrible way to die.

So dont leave your kids in the car.

I don't understand people either. when you just open the car it's really hot, what the hell would posses you to leave your child in there.Right before Thomas was born I locked my cats in the car by accident. I called the police to have them open it up, they were in there all of 10 minutes and when the police came I was a sobbing mess.I couldn't imagine if it were my kids.

When I was probably about 18 I was walking into a restuarant and there was a dog in a car, windows up. Obviously the owner was eating his meal...I had him paged to the front of the resturant and BLASTED him! He was pissed!! But it made his kids cry so he went out to the car and left so I had accomplised what I intended. Hopefully his kids never forgot the stupidity of their father either. I used to carry around a copy of a letter that was written in third person from the animal about being left in the hot car and I would place it on the windshield when I would see this happening. Anyway, your story about the poor kitty in the dryer made me sick.
